The Sheep Follow His Voice

“I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me,” from John 10:14. Priscilla Shirer, female evangelist, shared about our relationships with God. Using the metaphors of shepherds and sheep, Priscilla described how a shepherd could walk into a holding of a thousand sheep and he will call them, and only his one hundred sheep will come. They know their shepherd, his voice. The shepherd cares for His sheep, saves them from the wolves.

Having a strong relationship with God helps us to see the truth of His voice, His Holy words. We will not be swayed by culture, or a voice that is not our Savior’s. Priscilla asked in a sermon on the Armor of God, “How do you know if Satan has a calling card on someone? It’s due to deception and we don’t always know deception……Deception blinds us. If we want any chance of standing against the devil and deception, we need to use the Bible as a compass.” People who deceive can say and do the kindest things. We may fall for charming words, as they may seem so close to the truth. People deceive themselves, too. But, be sure to “align yourself and your behavior with the truth,” encourages Priscilla.

Who wants the best for us? Who wants us on the true path to victory over popularity, self-centered selfies, and wanton cruelty? Yes, you know who He is.

The feeling inside that is unsettled, or wallowing in regret of actions, or anger or shame or fear or self-defeating thoughts is an indicator that there is something more for you. Jesus is calling and wants a relationship with you. Psalm 139:14. God is our treasure, and if you know that, tell others of the treasure and peace that you’ve found by following your shepherd and introduce Him to everyone……God is my shepherd, I will follow His voice.
