Dear Faithkidz,
That mustard seed that Jesus told about in His parable grew into a mighty tree that birds could nest in. From a very tiny beginning, the mustard seed grew. Similarly, the Kingdom of God started with one man….Jesus, then the Gospel grew across the world. Jesus told two fishermen to “follow me.” The disciples followed and shared with many others about the love of a Savior, who died on the cross for our sins, so we could have eternal life. When we share with others about following Jesus, then God’s kingdom grows bigger, just like the mustard seed (or an apple tree).
Jesus loves you. Don’t hang your head in guilt, or shame of sin. He loves you deeply, and wants to grace you with His forgiveness and His eternal love. Follow Jesus, and watch the Kingdom of God grow in and around you. Share His love with others, so our faith families grow, too!
