Truths

In Faithkidz, we learned about Jesus sharing truths in parables. We also talked about the three little pigs building a strong house. Well, one little pig built a strong house with bricks. His heart was soft, so he listened to the truth his mama told when she said, “Build a strong house with bricks.” Truths are like bricks. Just like bricks make a house strong, truths make a person strong. The first truth a faithkid learns is: God loves us! More than anything!

This week, we will be learning from the first parable of Jesus, the sower and different kinds of soil. Just like we are to have soft hearts to hear truths, soil should be soft and fertile. Seeds, once planted, can grow in soft and fertile soil. But, if the soil or heart is hard, then the seeds won’t grow. We want seeds in the soft dirt to grow into good plants or fruits. We want seeds, which are the message of Jesus and truths planted in our hearts, to grow good fruit, too. The fruit of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. When we believe in Jesus and He is growing in our hearts, then what grows are good fruit.

The truth this week: God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for us….John 3:16.
